Howell Gun Club 2020 Winter Indoor Precision Pistol League

The Howell Gun Club will host the 2020 Winter Indoor Precision Pistol League, starting in November 2020 through March 2021. This will be an NRA approved league, and compiled scores will be submitted to the NRA for records and classification at the conclusion of the program. This program is limited to a maximum of 32 shooters

 

Program Pre-meetings

Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 @ 7:00 p.m. or Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 @ 1:00 p.m. RSVP Required see contact below.

If you plan to participate (and have not participated in NRA Precision Pistol before) in the program, you must attend one of the meetings above. Safety procedures, program rules, equipment, range commands, target scoring etc. will be reviewed at the meeting.

 

Due to COVID-19, currently no spectators allowed in range house.  Masks to be worn when not in shooting booth.

 

Program Dates & Time

Start: November 2, 2020 End: March 15, 2021 (20 weeks)
Four lines at 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. respectively.

 Sign-up and Fees

Registration will be completed at one of the pre-meetings listed above or on the PSM website for returning shooters. There is a limit of 32 total participants, due to range and time limitations. Walk-ins are welcome provided there is an open lane available.  Weekly attendance (RSVP), score tallies and statistics will be managed on the Precision Shooting Matches (PSM) website (https://precisionshootingmatches.com). Please create a free account (one time) prior to program start.  Program is open to members and non-members. First come, first serve (reserve a spot via PSM website RSVP on a weekly basis).

Fees: $5/line per participant.

 

Program Rules

NRA Precision Pistol Rules will apply. Rules can be downloaded from: NRA Precision Pistol Rules
FIREARMS: Any safe .22 Long Rifle rimfire handgun (Semi-Auto or Revolver) may be used.
SIGHTS: Metallic, telescopic or electronic sights are permitted with the exception of a sight that projects an image onto the target.
POSITION: All shooting is done from the standing position using one hand, and no support is allowed.

 

Course of Fire

Each evening we will shoot an NRA “600” tournament at a distance of 50 feet.

The NRA “600” tournament consists of 60 shots fired in 10 shot series (six targets) as follows:
NATIONAL MATCH COURSE:
One slow fire B-2 target, 10 shot string, 10 minutes/string, 10 shots total)
One timed fire B-3 target, 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 20 seconds/string, 10 shots total)
One rapid fire B-3 target, 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 10 seconds/string, 10 shots total)

NATIONAL MATCH COURSE:
One slow fire B-2 target, 10 shot string, 10 minutes/string, 10 shots total)
One timed fire B-3 target, 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 20 seconds/string, 10 shots total)
