2019 NRA Registered Conventional Pistol Matches plus EIC May 24-26

NRA Registered 2700 Aggregate Match:
Saturday, May 25th, 1800 portion of the 2700 Aggregate match will be shot consisting of (.22 & CF.)
You will be allowed to place boxes on the line following the First Shot Ceremony. All shooters should plan to be at the First Shot Ceremony which will take place at 0730 for presentation of colors, cannon fire & VIP welcome to Quantico.
A lunch break to enjoy the BBQ QSC is providing will take place.
Sunday, May 26th, the (.45) portion of the 2700 Aggregate match will be shot.
Report to the line by 0900 with a start time of 0930.
There will be a break between the NRA & EIC portion of this match for shooters to switch guns, make adjustments etc.
EIC-Excellence In Competition (EIC) will follow completion of (.45) portion of the 2700 on Sunday in (.22 & Service Pistol) w/NO Distinguished Revolver (DR) held.
Awards are based on your entry into the match events but they are NOT the focus of this event.
It is Memorial Day weekend. The purpose of gathering together for this Memorial Match, both active duty & civilian in comradery to shoot, is to commemorate those who have fallen in the line of duty on the battlefield. It is about honor.
There must be a minimum registered shooter is 15 w/maximum of 39 firing points available.
We shall utilize a waitlist & communicate via email.
It is HIGHLY recommended you register EARLY/IMMEDIATELY to guarantee a firing point & because of vetting procedures to come onto Quantico!
**Match Director may adjust start time Sunday & shall notify each registered Sunday shooter, if necessary, to time the anticipated last shot of our bullseye match to complete & allow shooters a break to the Awards Ceremony where we will have families of the fallen present.
Arrival: Shooters should plan to present at gates between 0600 & 0700 on Saturday, May 25th to clear security (make sure you sent your vetting info in or you have your current CAC Card or Valid/current Military ID with you!
Shooters are asked to leave all weapons in their vehicles until after the First Shot Ceremony. When setting up please intermingle active duty service members & civilians. Keep your pistol boxes closed & follow all RSO instructions. Quantico Shooting Club Safety regulations are in place (see their website for details.)
On Sunday, May 26th, you may adjust your arrival time according to your experience entering Quantico Saturday but make sure to allow enough time to be on the firing line at 0900.
FIRST SHOT CEREMONY: Saturday, May 25th at 0730 The First Shot Ceremony shall be held. Shooting events shall commence following VIP speakers & cannons. Look for fire trucks w/9/11 American Flag. You will not want to miss this special, unique part of the matches. Very important shooters attend the presentation of colors!
Winners: Numerous Legacy Trophies, prize table & awards. There will also be free raffle tickets for ALL in attendance to the Awards Ceremony where we shall honor the fallen.
Please note that while awards will be presented, the focus of this event is to the legacy & memorial.
Open to ANYONE: Civilian & military.
Juniors over age 16 welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also shooting in the same event.
IMPORTANT MATCH ADVISEMENT: Civilians MUST be vetted PRIOR to coming onto the Quantico Marine Base! If a participant does NOT have a valid CAC card OR Military ID (active, retired or dependent), they ARE required to fill out the vetting form. NRA 2700 Bullseye match fee is $50.00
NRA 2700 Juniors match fee is $30.00
ALL juniors who wish to shoot must have a parent or guardian who is also shooting the same event with them.
EIC $20 for adults
EIC $15 for juniors

There will be NO Revolver EIC shot.
A BBQ lunch is provided on Saturday only. Advise you bring snacks & fluids as needed both days.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND DEADLINES WHICH ARE APPROACHING FAST!
Rules: Current “NRA Conventional Pistol Rules” & “CMP Competition Rules apply. Rulebooks will govern the conduct & all aspects of all pistol matches.
Classification: The NRA classification system will be used for ALL civilians. Military will shoot Master or above based on military regulations governing pistol competition.
Challenges: A Challenge feee of $5.00 will be charged for each challenge made. Scoringchallenges will be resolved by a designated 3-person jury if an NRA official referee is not assigned/present.
Awards: Overall winner & other awards. Our focus is upon memorializing the fallen.
Numerous Perpetual Rifle & Pistol Awards, medals & other items will be presented. The trophies bear the name of a person killed in action & should you be awarded a named trophy your name shall be inscribed beside that of the fallen as a perpetual tie to their life. You will receive a plaque.
Awards Ceremony: There will be an Awards Ceremony on Sunday, May 26th one hour AFTER all firing has been completed. Shooting attire is just fine. The Awards Ceremony will be located in the Weapons Training Battalion behind Range 2.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ALL SHOOTERS MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND THE AWARDS CEREMONY!
All competitors, visitors & VIPs will be eligible for numerous prizes but must be present their free raffle ticket to then collect their prize from the prize table! Honor the fallen by attending the Awards Ceremony no matter your performance in keeping with the true purpose of these matches-Remembering the Brave.
Safety Notices: Alcoholic Beverages are strictly prohibited! You will be on US Marine Base Quantico! Anyone believed under the influence of alcohol will be referred immediately to military police.
Eye & Ear protection is required.
The use of empty chamber indicators or equivalent indicator is mandatory. Device must be in accordance with NRA & CMP rules. When the command of “CEASE FIRING” is given, the ECI must be inserted into the open breech immediately! ALL firearms immediately to be unloaded & an ECI clearly visible.
Courses of fire:
Match 1, 20 shots SL, 50 yds
Match 2, National Match Course, (10 shots SF, TF, RF)
Match 3, 20 shots Timed Fire, 25 yds
Match 4, 20 shots Rapid Fire, 25 yds
Match 5, .22 Caliber Aggerate
Center Fire Individual matches 6 thru 10 (same courses of fire as above using a center fire pistol)
.45 Caliber Individual matches 11 thru 16 (same courses of fire as above using a center fire pistol)
2700 Aggerate Match
CMP/EIC & NRA matches will be fired concurrently immediately following the end of the 2700. Pistols, revolvers & ammunition will be inspected & triggers weighed for the EIC portion of the match. (NO EIC DR Match being held!)
TARGETS: Slow Fire will be fired on NRA B-6 Targets.
Timed & Rapid fire will be fired on NRA B-8 Targets.
CLEARING SECURITY DETAILS: Marine Corps Base, Quantico (MCBQ) is a United States Active Duty Military Installation & Federal Law applies.

FIREARMS TRANSPORT DETAILS: Firearms Transport rules for private citizens, military personnel, & law enforcement are found in MCBO8000.1D (Please click the link, READ, download & print so that you are in full compliance) and within the Provost Marshall Standard Operating Procedure.
Transportation of Weapons & Transportation of Weapons in vehicles:
➢ The weapon must be in the trunk and cased. In vehicles without a separate trunk, the weapon must be in a carrying case and placed as far away from vehicle occupants as possible.
➢ The weapon must be unloaded and set on safe
➢ If applicable, magazines must be removed and they must be empty.
➢ Magazines and ammunition must be kept FAR from weapon.
➢ Separate your gun set to safe, your ammunition & your magazines. Lock if available & place as far apart from vehicle occupants. Additionally, keep gun, ammunition & magazines as far apart as possible.
